About the Founder

Ooooota Adepo, the founder and director of Cross Culture Creative, studied Economics, French and International Relations at the University of Pennsylvania. During this period, she was an active member of Wharton’s Penn International Business Volunteers, an organization that works towards microfinance initiatives in Africa and South America. With her engagement with the Pan-African Student association, she co-founded an online magazine, which discussed the influence of politics and popular culture on Africa’s youth.

After working in business journalism at WWD Paris, her commitment to African development led her to undertake a Masters in Planning Growth Regeneration and Real Estate Finance at Cambridge University, where her course thesis explored the cultivation of sustainable land development in Nigeria. She then worked as a strategy consultant for The Learningfield Schools, a private school in Lagos Nigeria, where the growth model she introduced increased revenue by 20% in its 2012 trimesters.

After contributing her efforts to the Guaranty Trust Bank UK team, she is now fully committed to the development of Cross Culture Creative. She also writes for financial and Arts publications; her most recent article is featured in the May 2013 edition of the Financial World.

Given her education in the Arts at the Sorbonne and Sotheby’s, Ooooota aims to infuse a deep passion for African artistry into her work on social impact. She is a fellow of the Startingbloc Institute for Social Innovation.

Ooooota is fluent in English, French Yoruba and basic Italian.
